The Lord's Grace and Peace be with you!

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
 Collossians 4:2
With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.  Phillipians 4:6
Live your lives in Christ, rooted and built up in Him...and overflowing with thankfulness. Col. 2:6-7.
Prayer is a powerful gift from God. James writes: Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (ESV James 5:13-16)

PRAYER CHAIN <--- Click here for List of those for whom we are to pray!

Immeasurably More than we could ask for or imagine, that's what the Lord regularly provides!

"
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain..." (Ps. 127.1)

Daily as we walk in partnership with the Lord, we are to continually, without ceasing, meditate on the Word, continually mindful of the Spirit's guidance, focusing our attention upon those things that are everlasting and in edification of our Lord, Christ Jesus!

Set your heart to pray daily for God's hand to guide and share easily how the Lord opens doors of Grace for us his children...

Luke 14.28 "...for which of you desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost whether he has enough to complete it?"

Disturb Us, Lord

This prayer is attributed to Sir Francis Drake, 1577, prior to his journey from Portsmouth to the West Coast of South America, on his ship, "The Golden Hind." Its spirit and content capture some of the essence of the journey of faith and the adventure of sacrificial living...

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when
With the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wilder seas
Where storms will show Your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.

We ask you to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push into the future
In strength, courage, hope, and love.

This we ask in the name of our Captain,
Who is Jesus Christ.
