Rev. Dr. Karl Galik

Karl's personal mission is, "...to bear fruit that will last!"

This is from Jesus' words, "You did not choose me, I chose you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last." (John 15.16) Karl centers his personal and professional life and times around that which is relevant and meaningful and lasting! In essence, it is about highly valuing relationships!

It begins with God's creative, redemptive and maturing work within him. Created in the image of God, bought-back by Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection and empowered every day by the Holy Spirit, Karl's life is lived in response to God-Love and God-Peace first shown to him!

The next most highly valued relationship is with his beloved, Marilouise whom he married in 1976. Together they have three married children and those children have gifted Karl and Marilouise with 10 grandchildren. Karl's family origins are in Chicago where he grew up as the oldest son with three younger sisters. This is where Karl became an avid Chicago Cubs fan!

Karl highly values the relationships where he is known as Pastor and friend and has served the Lord as pastor since 1982. As Pastor and friend, Karl is dedicated to remaining faithful to God's Word, proclaiming its relevance, power and peace in personal or corporate settings. He has served the Lord as a dual-parish pastor, Associate Pastor as Director of Pastoral Care and Counseling, Senior Pastor and most recently as Vice-President of Ministry Support of the Lutheran Church Extension Fund.

Karl is delighted and honored to be called now to serve as Pastor of Peace where he leads the Body of Christ, including a fantastic Early Learning Center, into a new era. The vision that goes out ahead of him is, "Every Relationship Experience God's Power and Peace." The mission to achieve it is "To Receive, Invite and Invest in God's Power and Peace.
